Better than expected

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Star

We stayed in a family suite (12030) and the service we received was excellent. Have cruised before on Disney twice and this was much superior. The food was great (we have travelled in first class BA and 5* AI hotels to put this in context). The inclusive drinks were of a high standard with premium brands and the port itinerary was fab - we particularly loved santorini, Dubrovnik and Venice. The ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Orion

It was our 25th Anniversary and we wanted something special. We had heard great reviews about Viking Cruises and they lived up to all of it. We stayed 4 days in Venice to visit relatives prior to the cruise. Embarkation and Disembarkation were VERY smooth. We did not wait like we have in the past on other cruise lines. Ports and shore excursions were very good! We really enjoyed the fact we ...

First off, 5* for Sunny our cabin steward. Amazing service and tons of smiles. The hostess and team at Le Bristo gave best experience I have ever had on a cruise ship. Best food and presentation. Aqua needs an overhaul. The front hostess needs a raise and and someone to clean her glasses from spit due to all the complaints and yelling she had to endure. We watched the team their look at tables ...

Seven days of Bliss

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Silver Muse

We chose this cruise because of our long history with Silversea. Our last cruise on The Wind showed us a very aging ship and amenities that worried us about Silversea's commitment to excellence. The Muse was a wonderful experience although the lack of intimacy of the smaller ships could be felt. Looking to our future cruise selections, we may need to look at competitive lines to maintain the ...

1st Viking cruise. Travelled Adriatic Sea from Venice. Did the pre cruise hotel stay at Hilton Molino Stucky and enjoyed the hotel and location despite it not being in Venice proper. Embarkation was smooth and we enjoyed our first meal in the World Cafe. That became our favourite venue for dinner as the aft deck was wonderful to sit out for dinner and catch the sail out and the sunset ...

Not Viking's Sparkling Moment

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Viking Orion

We choose this cruise, due to the many interesting ports, we'd not visited. Viking Oceans is trying to do, too much, too fast, and losing sight of the small details, involved in "Luxury Cruising". We'd sailed on Viking River Cruises numerous times and on Viking Star, loving everyday. Not so with this cruise, Bay of Bangle, involved a different 'hurdle' daily. Embarkation in Mumbai was a ...

We booked this ship 11 months before departure to guarantee a place as it was suitable for children with an outside children's pool and slides in the main pool. However, NCL removed these early in 2018 and notified us before departure by email after we had paid the final balance. We made a complaint but NCL offered no compensation. For this reason we probably will never cruise with NCL again as ...

This was my first cruise and I absolutely loved it. I couldnt believe how effortless boarding the ship was, I've never seen such an efficient operation before, it was quite impressive. We ate at the main dining room most nights and were served by an amazing team, in particular our sommelier Ana was brillant, there was 11 of us in total some nights, 3 of us wanted anything with bubbbles, 2 ...

Could do so much better

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Crown Princess

1. We had booked a cabin and the pictures on the web site did not show that this would have pull down beds stowed and a column in the cabin this greatly reduces the limited space and we should have been made aware of this when we booked back in February 2107. We could have then made an informed decision on the cabin instead of me keep hitting the bed that stuck out from the wall with my shoulder ...

We chose this cruise because we had been on celebrity summit previously which was excelllent. We did back to back cruises of the Mediterraneanthis time. The destinations were wonderful but the staff were poor in comparison with a few exceptions Suraraj , Joyce and Choti. We travelled in a sky suite which gave us access to Luminae restaurant and Michaels club. The concierge never spoke to us the ...
