Chose the cruise because we liked the itinerary and had heard good things about MSC.

On arrival at Venice we were kept waiting for ages at the terminal waiting for our transfer. We were given no information but found out later that there were problems due to the fog. Check in procedure could have been better, another long wait. Cabin was excellent, very spacious, fantastica suite.

The ship was lovely and the bars were nice. The shows were entertaining. The service at some of the bars was very slow. The food in the most was in my opinion very disappointing. Very small portions and on the whole tasteless and uninspiring. It did get slightly better towards the end of the cruise. The service in the mdr was very good. The drinks package is excellent value. The buffet was not very good not enough choice. They also ran out of butter. Read more
